Valle Gran Rey

Valle Gran Rey is a municipality in the west of La Gomera. The village is extended through a wide ravine, from the higher areas down towards the sea.

The village is divided into several districts, the lower ones, right by the sea, are La Playa, La Puntilla and the harbour area Vueltas. Other bigger districts are Borbalan, La Calera, El Guro and there are smaller ones, the so-called barrios in the upper valley.

The community of Valle Gran Rey includes the villages of Arure, Las Hayas and Taguluche, which are a little further away. In total, the municipality has about 4,300 inhabitants.
